Overview
Managing employee time off requests promptly and consistently helps maintain proper staffing levels, ensure accurate payroll processing, and support clear communication across your team. This guide will walk you through how to review, approve, deny, and track employee time off requests so you can efficiently manage schedules and maintain up-to-date records.
Pending Time Off Requests
Your Employer Dashboard displays the number of pending time off requests within the People panel, making it easy to quickly identify and address requests that require your review. Optionally, email notices can be delivered when an employee submits a new request to alert you automatically.
Navigate to the Time Off Requests page by clicking on the Time Off Requests Pending label on the Dashboard or through the navigation menu at HR > Time Off Requests.

Approving or Denying Requests
You can view both new and past requests by filtering by employee, leave type, or request status. By default, the page displays pending approvals, where you can review request details such as the selected dates and times, along with any comments provided by the employee. From there, you can approve or deny the request using the buttons highlighted in the screenshot below.

Automated Payroll Entry
Approved time off can be set to automatically flow into payroll, reducing manual entry and saving valuable time during payroll processing.
HR Calendar
From the main dashboard, you can access the HR Calendar to view both approved and requested time off for all employees in one consolidated view, helping you effectively plan schedules and manage staff coverage.

Conclusion
By using the time off request process, you can ensure requests are submitted clearly, reviewed promptly, and accurately reflected in scheduling and payroll. Staying consistent with this workflow helps maintain proper coverage, clear communication, and smooth payroll processing for everyone involved.
